1. Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses Postalu Social Hub, operated by postalu.com: administrators, team members and anyone else with access. It is part of our Terms of Use. Postalu publishes to platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, X and LinkedIn, so their rules apply to what you publish in addition to this policy.
2. Content you must not publish
- Illegal content or content that facilitates a crime, including fraud, scams, phishing, counterfeit goods and unlicensed regulated products or services.
- Child sexual abuse material or any sexualisation of minors. We report this to the authorities and platforms without notice.
- Violence and harm: credible threats, incitement, glorification of terrorism or violent extremism, graphic gore, self-harm promotion.
- Hate and harassment: content that attacks people for protected characteristics, targeted harassment, doxxing or stalking.
- Non-consensual or explicit sexual content, including intimate imagery shared without permission.
- Deception: impersonation, fake reviews or endorsements, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, manipulated media presented as real, and misleading health, election or financial claims.
- Infringement: content you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted music, footage or images, and trademark misuse.
- Others' personal data published without a lawful basis, and malware or links to malicious sites.
- Spam: repetitive, unsolicited or engagement-bait content designed to game a platform's systems.
3. How you must use the service
You must not:
- use Postalu to publish to social accounts you do not own or are not authorised to manage, or share your login, two-factor device or recovery codes;
- attempt to access another operator's data, other users' accounts, or any area you have not been given permission to use;
- probe, scan, stress-test, or bypass the security of the service (including rate limits, permissions and access controls), or introduce malware;
- send automated or high-volume requests other than through features we provide, or use the service to create unreasonable load;
- circumvent platform limits (for example daily post caps, review requirements or API quotas), or use the service to evade a platform's enforcement action or ban;
- scrape, harvest or store other people's data from the platforms, or use data received from a platform for anything other than showing it back to the operator who connected the account;
- resell, sublicense, reverse engineer or copy the service;
- use AI assist to generate content that breaks this policy, or to produce disinformation or impersonation.
4. Platform rules also apply
Every connected platform has its own rules. Breaking them can get your post removed or your account restricted, independent of us. Read and follow:
| Platform | Rules |
|---|---|
| Instagram, Facebook, Threads | Meta Community Standards |
| YouTube | YouTube Community Guidelines |
| TikTok | TikTok Community Guidelines |
| X | The X Rules |
| Professional Community Policies |
5. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe this policy has been broken, or to protect the service, other users or the platforms we connect to, we may, with or without notice depending on severity:
- stop or block a scheduled or in-progress post;
- remove content or media from our storage;
- limit, suspend or disable a team member or an entire organisation's access;
- disconnect accounts, and report unlawful activity to the platforms or the authorities.
We try to give a reason and a chance to fix the problem where it is safe to do so. Suspension does not remove your obligations or entitle you to a refund of any third-party cost.
6. Reporting abuse, and contact
To report content or conduct that breaks this policy, or to appeal an enforcement action, email legal@postalu.com with the details. To report a security vulnerability see our Security page.
