Terms of Use

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and postalu.com (“we”, “us”) about your use of Postalu Social Hub, the web application at postalu.com (the “Service”).

By signing in, connecting a social account, or otherwise using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Postalu lets authorised operators and their team members:

  • connect social media accounts they own (Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and X);
  • prepare posts (photos, videos, carousels, Stories, captions, descriptions and first comments) and publish them immediately or schedule them for later;
  • see publishing results, errors and performance statistics;
  • use paid features, such as analytics, best-time suggestions and approvals, on a paid plan.

The Service works through the official interfaces of those platforms. Features depend on what each platform allows and may differ between platforms. We may add, change or remove features, and we will try to give notice of changes that significantly reduce functionality.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
  • You can create a Solo or Agency account yourself, with an email address and password or with Google, and you must confirm your email address. Team members are added by the administrator of an Agency account. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You must keep your password, two-factor authentication device and recovery codes secure, use your own account only, and tell us promptly at legal@postalu.com if you suspect unauthorised access. Two-factor sign-in is required.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account, except where caused by our breach of these Terms.

4. Administrators, team members and permissions

  • The administrator is responsible for every team member they add and for the permissions they grant, including the permission to publish to the organisation's connected accounts.
  • Team members may act only within the permissions assigned to them. Content published by a team member is published on behalf of the organisation that owns the connected account.
  • An administrator cannot grant a permission they do not hold, and only the Admin role (which carries every permission) can manage the plan and billing of an organisation.
  • Administrators may disable or delete a team member at any time. Posts that member created remain part of the organisation's records.
  • Users without publish permission can save drafts. A draft is not a publishing instruction until someone with permission publishes or schedules it.

5. Connected accounts and third-party platforms

You confirm that you own, or are authorised to manage, every account you connect, and that you may let Postalu publish to it. By connecting an account you authorise Postalu to act on that account within the permissions you approve on the platform's consent screen (for example publishing, commenting and reading statistics). You can withdraw that authorisation at any time by disconnecting the account or revoking access on the platform.

You must follow each platform's own terms and rules, which apply in addition to these Terms. We are not a party to them and do not control them:

PlatformRules that apply to you
Meta (Instagram, Facebook, Threads)Meta Terms, Instagram Terms, Threads Terms and the platform and community policies.
YouTube and GoogleBy using YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
TikTokTikTok Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines and TikTok's content sharing guidelines.
XThe X Terms of Service and the X Developer Agreement and Policy.
LinkedInLinkedIn User Agreement, the Professional Community Policies and LinkedIn's API terms.

Platform decisions are outside our control. A platform may limit, hold, remove, restrict or reject content, change its rules or technical limits, apply daily quotas, revoke access or suspend an account. We are not responsible for those decisions or for any resulting loss. The Service shows platform limits and errors when it can, but cannot override them.

TikTok specifics. You, not Postalu, decide who can view each TikTok post, which interactions are allowed, and whether it is branded or promotional content, and you confirm the post before it is sent. You are responsible for TikTok's commercial-content and music rules.

X specifics. X charges for API use from prepaid credits that belong to the operator's own X developer account. You are responsible for those charges and for having enough credit; a post fails if credit runs out.

6. Your content

  • You own it. You keep all rights in the photos, videos, captions, descriptions, hashtags and comments you submit. We claim no ownership.
  • Licence to us. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, process, convert, and transmit your content solely to operate the Service for you: staging it, scheduling it, and delivering it to the platforms you choose.
  • No other use. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI or machine-learning models.
  • Your promises. You confirm you own or have licensed everything you post (including music, footage, images, trademarks and the rights of people shown), that it is lawful, and that it follows each platform's rules.
  • Disclosures. You are responsible for any disclosure the law or a platform requires, such as marking sponsored, affiliate or branded content.
  • Backups. The Service stores media temporarily to publish it. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.

7. Publishing and scheduling

When you press Publish or Schedule, you instruct Postalu to send the post you prepared to the platforms and accounts you selected, with the settings you chose. You are responsible for checking content, accounts, settings and times before you confirm.

  • Scheduling is best effort. Scheduled posts are checked about every 30 seconds, so a post may go out up to a minute after the chosen time. Times are shown in your time zone and stored in UTC.
  • Late and missed posts. A post that is up to two hours late is still published. After that it is marked missed and not sent unless you retry it. Delays can also come from outages, platform limits or expired logins.
  • Things that can stop a post: an expired or revoked login, a platform quota or posting limit, lack of credit (for X), content a platform rejects, or an outage on our side or the platform's. We show the reason and the next step where we can.
  • Limits. Posts can be scheduled from 2 minutes to 30 days ahead, and files are limited in size and type. Published or scheduled posts that are cancelled have their stored media deleted.
  • Retries and duplicates. If a platform times out after receiving a post, we cannot always tell whether it published. Check the platform before retrying to avoid duplicates.
We do not guarantee that any post will be published, published at an exact time, or reach any audience.

8. Fees and third-party costs

Postalu has a Free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are priced per connected account, per month or per year, at the prices shown on the Pricing page when you subscribe. Payments, tax and invoicing are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase, including any statutory right to a refund. Subscriptions renew until you cancel; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, after which your workspace returns to the Free plan limits. If a payment fails we keep paid features on for a short grace period while it is retried. We may change prices for future periods with notice. Costs charged by others are separate and are your responsibility, including social platform and API fees (for example X API credits), and any advertising spend.

9. Acceptable use

The full rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, you must not use the Service to:

  • publish unlawful, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, harassing, deceptive or fraudulent content, malware or phishing, or content that infringes anyone's rights;
  • spam, mass-post, or create fake engagement, or use first comments or replies to deceive people or push unsolicited links;
  • impersonate others, or connect accounts you do not own or manage;
  • evade or break a platform's rules, limits, quotas or enforcement;
  • probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses without our written permission, bypass its security (including its access controls), or interfere with other users;
  • reverse engineer, copy, resell or sublicense the Service, or access it by automated means except through features we provide;
  • upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that includes personal data of others without a lawful basis.

If you find a security weakness, please report it to legal@postalu.com and give us reasonable time to fix it before disclosing it.

10. AI features

AI assist is optional and produces suggestions only. AI output can be inaccurate or similar to existing content, so you must review it and you are responsible for anything you publish. We give no warranty about AI suggestions. See the AI Features Notice for what is sent to the provider.

11. Approvals, alerts and team features

  • Approvals. Approval workflows are a convenience for your team. Who may approve or publish is set by your administrators' permissions; you are responsible for configuring them and for what is published once approved.
  • Alerts. Alerts to Slack, Microsoft Teams or email are best-effort and may be delayed or fail. Do not rely on them as your only monitoring. You are responsible for the destinations you enter and for who can read them.
  • Profile pictures. A picture you upload must be yours to use and comply with the Acceptable Use Policy; it is visible to other signed-in team members.
  • Best-time suggestions and analytics. These are estimates from typical audience activity and data supplied by platforms. They are not guaranteed and may be incomplete or delayed.

12. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, design, text, and branding belong to postalu.com or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while these Terms apply. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

13. Privacy and data deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms. You can disconnect accounts, delete media and posts, and request deletion as described on the Data Deletion page. Organisations that need processor terms can see our Data Processing terms and sub-processor list. We use only the cookies described in our Cookie Policy, and describe AI features in the AI Features Notice. Security practices and vulnerability reporting are on the Security page.

14. Availability, changes and suspension

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. It may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, platform changes, or reasons beyond our control. Scheduled posts can be delayed or missed during an outage.

Platform availability, pauses and notices. Each platform is made available when our integration with it is ready, so some platforms may not be available at launch. If a connected platform has a fault, changes its rules or puts our integration at risk, we may pause publishing to, or connecting, that platform for all customers until it is safe to resume. We show a notice in the Service and on our website while this applies. Posts scheduled for a paused platform are attempted at their scheduled time and may fail, and you can retry them once the platform is available again. We may also display other service notices, for example about maintenance.

We may suspend or restrict access immediately, without notice, if we reasonably believe you are breaching these Terms or a platform's rules, creating risk or harm, or if the law or a platform requires it.

15. Ending your use

  • By you: stop using the Service at any time, cancel your subscription, disconnect your accounts, and ask us to delete your data.
  • By us: we may end or suspend your access for a breach of these Terms, for legal or platform reasons, or if we stop offering the Service (we will try to give reasonable notice).
  • Effect: your right to use the Service ends, stored tokens are deleted when accounts are disconnected, and your data is handled as the Privacy Policy and the Data Deletion page describe. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) continue to apply.

16. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that content will be published or scheduled exactly, that statistics from platforms are complete or accurate, that platforms will keep their interfaces or limits unchanged, or that the Service will be free of harmful components. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, postalu.com and its owners, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, audience, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, or for the suspension, restriction or loss of any social media account, arising from or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in that period and USD 100. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

18. Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless postalu.com and its owners, officers, employees and contractors from claims, damages, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of content you publish or schedule, your breach of these Terms or any platform's rules, or your infringement of anyone's rights. We will tell you promptly about any claim and reasonably cooperate at your expense.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which postalu.com is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, please contact us at legal@postalu.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally. Mandatory consumer or data-protection rights in the place where you live are not affected.

20. Changes and general terms

  • Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. The effective date and version show the latest revision, and we will notify operators of material changes in the application or by email where practical. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service and replace earlier understandings.
  • Severability and waiver. If a provision is unenforceable the rest continues. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a business change.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of cloud or platform providers.
  • Notices. We may notify you in the application or at your account email. You may contact us at the address below.
