TikTok errors

Audit and private accounts, daily limits, blocked accounts, privacy, media and the photo-post domain.

1. Only private accounts, because the app isn't audited

TikTok only allows posts from apps that haven't passed its audit to a private TikTok account. Set your TikTok account to Private to post, or apply for the Direct Post audit in the TikTok developer portal.

  • TikTok only lets an app post publicly after it passes TikTok's audit. Postalu first tries your chosen visibility, then retries as Only me.
  • If your TikTok account is public, even a private post is refused and you see this message.
  • Fix: set the account to Private in TikTok's settings, or use Send to my TikTok inbox as a draft, which needs neither.

2. Daily posting limit

This TikTok account has reached its daily posting limit. Try again tomorrow.

3. Blocked from posting

TikTok has blocked this account from posting right now. Check the TikTok app for details.

  • TikTok flagged the account (spam checks). Open TikTok for the notice and appeal there.

4. The app's daily cap

The app has reached TikTok's daily limit of posting users. Try again tomorrow, or apply for the audit to raise it.

  • This is a limit on Postalu's TikTok app, not your account. Try again the next day.

5. Login no longer accepted

TikTok no longer accepts this connection (expired or missing permissions). Reconnect TikTok, then retry.

  • Use Reconnect now and approve every permission.

6. Privacy option not available

The privacy option you picked isn't available for this TikTok account. Pick another option and post again.

  • Your account only allows some visibility levels. Open the TikTok panel, choose from the list it shows and retry.

7. Media address not verified

TikTok hasn't verified the media URL prefix for this app. In the TikTok developer portal, verify https://postalu.com/api/media/ and retry photo posts.

  • Photo posts and slideshows need that address verified in TikTok. Videos do not. Ask support if it keeps failing.

8. TikTok rejected the media

TikTok rejected the media (format, size, length or frame rate). Use MP4 or MOV video within TikTok's limits, or JPG/WEBP photos, and try again.

  • Convert photos to JPG or WEBP (no PNG). Re-export videos as MP4 or MOV, at a normal frame rate and within TikTok's length for your account.

9. Content sharing guidelines

TikTok blocked this post because it doesn't meet its content sharing guidelines. Check the TikTok settings (privacy, disclosure) and the guidelines.

  • Review the visibility and disclosure choices in the TikTok panel, and TikTok's guidelines (the button opens them), then retry.
