1. The preview on the Review step
A phone-style mock-up shows your media with the caption overlay and the first comment as it will roughly appear. Switch between TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Threads and Facebook; platforms you are posting to are marked. Stories get their own 9:16 Story preview. It is a guide: each platform's real app can crop and format slightly differently.
2. The hook meter on the Add Content step
Under the caption, Hook & 3-Second Retention Score grades the first sentence of your caption from 0 to 100: Weak, Good, Strong or Viral Potential. It rewards:
- A first line of 4 to 15 words (4 to 25 gets partial credit).
- A curiosity word such as why, secret, mistake or how.
- A power word such as simple, proven or free.
- A number or percentage.
- A question, and a single emoji in the first line.
It then lists suggestions, for example to add a number or to ask a question.
The meter is a simple writing aid, not a prediction of how a post will perform. Use Analytics to see what actually worked.
