If you can create posts but not publish, the Review step offers Save as draft instead of Publish. Your media is uploaded and the post waits for someone with publish rights. A draft does not count toward a free workspace's weekly post limit.
1. Find and use drafts
- Open the Drafts tab on the Dashboard (or Drafts in the sidebar). The tab shows the count, for example Drafts (3).
- Each row shows the title, the author, when it was saved, the caption and its platforms.
- Publish publishes it now to all its platforms. It is shown only if you may publish to every platform on the draft.
- Submit for review (instead of Publish, for people who cannot publish) sends it to the approval queue.
- The pencil opens the post page; the bin deletes the draft and its media after you confirm.
- A draft's wording cannot be edited in place. To change it, create a corrected post.
- If an approver sent it back, the row shows Changes requested: with their note.
- Drafts keep their media until published or deleted, or until the 32-day storage clean-up.
Drafts are published straight away; they are not scheduled from this tab. To publish later, create the post again with a schedule, or have an approver use Approve and schedule.
