A platform gives Postalu a login token with a lifetime. Some renew by themselves (YouTube, TikTok and X). The others, such as Instagram, Threads, Facebook and LinkedIn, end after a limited time and need you to renew them.
1. How you are told
- The channel row on the Dashboard turns amber (Expiring soon, fewer than 7 days left) and then red (Reconnect needed).
- A notice on the Dashboard and on the Create post screen lists logins that are expiring or have expired, with a Reconnect button.
- On the Review step, if you schedule a post for a time after a login ends, a warning says the login expires before this time. Reconnect it first.
- Alerts: once a day Postalu checks every connected account and sends A login is expiring or has expired to your Slack, Teams or email channels. See What triggers an alert.
2. Renew it
- Open the Dashboard and find the channel.
- Open its ⋮ menu and choose Refresh connection, or press Reconnect in its open row.
- Approve again on the platform's page. The same account updates in place; nothing is duplicated.
- If a post failed because of the login, open it in History and press Retry publishing.
If the platform rejects a login early (for example you changed your password there or removed Postalu's access), the pill turns red even though the date has not passed. Reconnect the same way.
