Scheduling has a handful of rules. When one is broken, the Review step, the Scheduled page, the Calendar or a bulk upload shows one of these messages.
| Message | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Choose a valid date and time. | The date field is empty or not a date. | Pick a date and time. |
| Pick a time at least 2 minutes from now. | The time is too soon or in the past. | Pick a later time, or choose Publish now. |
| Posts can be scheduled up to 30 days ahead. | The time is more than 30 days away. | Pick an earlier date. |
| You need permission to publish before you can schedule posts. | Your role can create posts but not publish. | Use Send for approval or Save as draft. |
| No queue slots yet. Add some on the Queue slots page. | Add to next free slot with no slots. | Add slots. |
| All your queue slots in the next 30 days are taken. | Every slot has a scheduled post. | Add more slots or pick a time by hand. |
| Your free plan allows 5 posts a week. It resets on Monday. Upgrade for unlimited posts. | You used this week's free allowance. | Wait until Monday (UTC) or upgrade. |
| <Platform> is paused: … It reopens in about N hours. Remove it from this post or try later. | A daily limit was hit. Scheduling for a time after it reopens is allowed. | Schedule later than the reopen time or remove the platform. |
Times are checked on Postalu's servers as well as in your browser, so a time that looked fine when you opened the page can be refused if you wait too long before pressing the button. Pick a time a few minutes further out.
